Fashion photography sessions are creative portrait sessions with a focus on achieving a high fashion look. They mix the soul of portrait photography with the accuracy of colours and textures of product photography. They are usually a collaboration between the designers, the models and the photographer resulting in a rewarding experience for everyone. Although they are usually focused towards the fashion designers and their collections, it is also a good choice for any model desiring to improve her portfolio book.

Session info
The fashion photoshoots usually last between half a day and a full day, but they can also be just a couple of hours long. Usually shot inside the studio for optimum results or on location with the use of artificial lights as needed. But the hard work usually starts days before, with all the parties involved getting in contact to set the mood of the session always according to your client particular needs. During this period we will work together in setting the mood of the shoot and prepare for the particular characteristics of the different outputs needed, like images for billboards, ads or magazines.
The day of the session
Fashion photography sessions usually start early in the morning. I always recommend our models to come fresh and after a good night of sleep. Please dress loose clothes, specially if you are posing with less clothing later, so you will have no marks on the skin.
If make up is not provided I recommend light makeup to start for women and no makeup for men, but again this is a matter of preference. Please bring make up and/or grooming products so you can change your look if needed.
It is preferred to have on hand the full range of the collection being photographed, so we can play with them as needed to change look at any moment, or even a few pieces from previews collections to give variety. I recommend small accessories to not draw too much attention from the main product itself. I have pins and pegs at my Genova studio as well as an iron if needed to make small adjustments.
After the session
All photos will generally be processed and lightly retouched of small imperfections. I don’t retouch beauty spots because I find them part of the person, but if you want to get rid of some of them just ask. All my photos are delivered in colour unless you need them in black and white. Please note that heavier retouching is available at an extra fee.
It is possible to prepare the layout of the printing materials you need on request. This includes but is not limited to poster, flyer and catalogue design.
It is possible to deliver the photos in PSD format so you can work with your in-house retouchers. DNG files will only be handled to retouchers I have worked with previously, sorry for the inconvenience.
The photos will be delivered in digital format in a password protected gallery a few days after the session. This way you can share it with the people you want. I can also have the photos printed for you in different formats, like posters, catalogues, flyers or model portfolios.
Scheduling and payment
I am usually available from Monday to Friday non stop from 9am until 19pm. Other availabilities depending on each session particularities. Please consult me about my availability on any given day. Please arrive on time and don’t schedule tight after our session so we can extend it a bit if needed.

However, if I do not receive it one week before the date, the session may be granted to someone in the waiting list. For particulars the remaining balance is due the day of the session.
